Sen. Amy Klobuchar: Iran tensions could have been avoided if U.S. stayed in Iran nuclear agreement
Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Amy Klobuchar said she believes the ongoing tensions with Iran could have been avoided if President Trump stayed in the Iranian nuclear agreement. “For so long, one of our major focuses of U.S. foreign policy was to make sure Iran didn’t get a nuclear weapon. That’s why we reached that agreement. It may not have been perfect, but it was something that needed to be done to make sure that we achieved that goal and kept people safe.”
