Rep. Clyburn (D-S.C.) agrees with Rep. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) that America is not a racist country

April 30, 2021 | 6:16 PM GMT
Responding to President Biden’s first address to Congress, Rep. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) said “Hear me clearly: America is not a racist country." Asked if he agreed with Rep. Scott, Rep. Clyburn said: “I agree with him on that. I don’t think a racist country would have elected Barack Obama as President, or Kamala Harris as Vice President. That’s not the issue, that’s a red herring. The issue is they allow the jurisdictions in this country that have institutionalized the history and legacy of race. That’s what is happening.”
