The court on May 21 handed down a three-year jail sentence for former president Mubarak on charges of fraudulently spending millions of dollars on his private residences. The ousted leader's sons Gamal and Alaa both received four-year sentences in the case, in which the three were accused of embezzling more than $14 million of public money.
