Hunting Joseph Kony

In October, President Obama ordered the deployment of 100 U.S. Special Operations troops to assist four African countries in their search for Joseph Kony, the messianic founder of the Lord’s Resistance Army. Six months later, the troops are working from five small bases. About half are based at a headquarters in Entebbe, Uganda, with the remainder — mostly Green Berets from the Army — deployed to field locations in three neighboring countries. U.S. military officials said they think Kony is hiding in the Central African Republic, in the vicinity of the Obo and Djema bases. Read related article.
