PHOTOS: ‘Deliberate action’ cited in Malaysia Airlines flight’s disappearance
The search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 has two points of focus: finding physical wreckage and determining an explanation of the suspected “deliberate act” that led to the plane’s disappearance.

The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board has mapped a likely route of the missing plane based on the electronic “pings” the jet sent on hourly intervals to a satellite 22,300 miles overhead. “The area where the aircraft might have entered the water was then corrected for the water movement . . . to provide a possible search area,” said an official with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.
