Russia revived a deal Monday to send S-300P advanced surface-to-air-missile (SAM) systems to Iran. The S-300P series is often labeled “Russia’s Patriot,” referring to the U.S. missile system of the same name. The S-300P (NATO uses the name SA-10 Grumble), which Russia plans to sell to Iran, was developed as a strategic land-based country defense SAM system.
