This page is no longer being updated. Please visit the NEW archive page and update your bookmarks.

"Frontline" has been the flagship public affairs series on PBS since 1983, using long-form documentaries to delve into topics including America's war on drugs, the Nicaraguan contras, the legacy of Vietnam, issues of life and death, teenage killers, technology, kids in America and foreign policy, including the current war on terrorism and the Sept. 11 attacks. Filmmakers including Michael Kirk and Martin Smith and correspondents including Garry Wills, Roger Wilkins, Bill Moyers, Shelby Steele, William Greider, Seymour Hersh, Richard Ben Cramer, James Reston, Jr., and Peter Boyer have brought these subjects to life.

This season, "Frontline" airs on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. EDT. Each Friday, the filmmakers or experts featured in their programs will join washingtonpost.com readers to talk about their work and what they learned.

For more information about the series and the upcoming programs, visit the Frontline Web site.
