Gulf Coast oil spill (Updated: Wednesday, May 21)

Cleanup and containment efforts continue after the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig April 20. The NOAA releases a projection of the next day's oil spill on a daily basis, followed by data of each day's actual oil spill as information becomes available. This graphic displays maps of the actual oil spill.
