Lynch, a two-time All-Met, finished his high school career 162-17, including a 60-0 record this year with 42 pins and four technical falls. He won the Maryland Independent Schools state tournament, leading Spalding to the team title, and won his weight class at the National Prep Wrestling Championships at Lehigh University. Lynch, Spalding's first two-time state champion and first national champion, was named the Gerald Leeman Outstanding Wrestler at National Preps, becoming the first area athlete so honored since DeMatha four-time All-Met Rudy Rueda in 2004. Lynch led Spalding to a 33-0 duals record and third place at National Preps. He will wrestle for the University of Pennsylvania.
