Soccer convert won Md. 4A title in her first cross-country season. Runner-up at 4A West and in Montgomery County.

Nike Cross Nationals finalist was runner-up in the Southeast region (17:25). Third at Va. AAA and in Northern Region.

Emily Kaplan

Georgetown Visitation / So.

Won ISL title by nearly 45 seconds in her first cross-country season. Runner-up at Glory Days and fourth at William & Mary.

Macey Schweikert

Robinson / Jr.

Foot Locker all-South performer was fifth at the competitive Virginia AAA championships and in the Northern Region.

Allie Klimkiewicz

Oakton / So.

Foot Locker finalist placed ninth in the South (17:29). Was fourth in the Virginia AAA Northern Region and ninth at the state meet.

Nike Cross Nationals all-Southeast performer (8th, 17:49.70) placed sixth at Virginia AAA and Northern Region championships.

The married couple ably guided a team of about 40 girls to its second straight postseason sweep. The Barons were young — four of B-CC's top five scorers at the Maryland 4A championships were either freshmen or sophomores — but were expertly motivated by the Youngs, who kept the sport fun without sacrificing a strong competitive spirit.
