Player of the Year

MH Blair Brown, Loudoun Valley, Sr.
The two-time All-Met Player of the Year helped Loudoun Valley to a 55-1 record the past two seasons and a Virginia AA title in 2004. During that span the 6-foot-5 middle hitter totaled 883 kills, 175 solo blocks, 112 block assists, 95 aces and 377 digs. She will play for Penn State.

Coach of the Year

Michele Dillingham, Gaithersburg
In her 17th year as coach, she led the Trojans to a 19-0 record and the first state title in school history. She has compiled a 208-68 record at Gaithersburg, and since 2000 has compiled a 79-5 regular season record, six Montgomery County division titles and four region titles.

Star Performance

Gaithersburg senior setter Amanda Krampf had 41 assists as the Trojans rallied from a 2-0 deficit in games to defeat Broadneck in the Maryland 4A semifinals.

First Team

MH Samantha Ingersoll, Stone Bridge, Sr.
Repeat All-Met holds nine school records, and this season totaled 431 kills (1,061 for her career), 268 digs, 89 aces and 95 total blocks. Will play softball for North Carolina.

MH Whitney Johnson, Calvert, Sr.
Repeat All-Met had 273 kills, 71 blocks and 78 digs to lead Cavaliers to 17-1 record and sixth straight SMAC championship. Will play for Albany.

OH Jess Emanuele, Good Counsel, Jr.
WCAC player of the year had 512 kills, 114 aces, 348 digs and 105 total blocks for Maryland/D.C. Private School Tournament champions.

OH Julie Hollrah, Glenelg, Sr.
Recorded a team-high 261 kills and 419 digs and added 39 aces as Gladiators won the Maryland 2A title. Had 75 kills, 91 digs in five postseason matches.

OH Kanishia Sheppard, Broadneck, Sr.
Repeat All-Met led Bruins to a sixth straight state tournament appearance with 250 kills, 68 blocks, 64 aces and 85 digs.

S Jennifer Feldmann, Centennial, Sr.
Dished out 439 assists and posted a team-high 67 aces to go along with 139 digs and 22 kills as the No. 1 Eagles defended their Maryland 3A title.

S Amanda Krampf, Gaithersburg, Sr.
Leader of the Maryland 4A champions had 428 assists and 94 digs this season, finishing two-year career with 788 assists and a 34-2 record.

L Kerry Shannon, Osbourn Park, Sr.
Shining in the new libero position, all-Northwestern Region back-row specialist helped Yellow Jackets win 19 straight matches. Had 53 digs in four postseason outings.
